Choking is a life-threatening situation that requires immediate and effective intervention. Our comprehensive course on choking, offer both the knowledge and hands-on training in the recognition and management of airway obstruction. This course covers scenarios involving both conscious and unconscious individuals, addressing the various causes of choking such as inhaled foreign objects, trauma, anaphylactic reactions, and muscle relaxation due to unconsciousness.

Participants will learn to identify the signs of both partial and complete airway obstruction, understand the crucial differences between them, and apply the most appropriate intervention techniques. The course highlights the importance of continual observation due to the rapid progression that can lead to complete obstruction in just seconds.

With an emphasis on the latest guidelines according to the Australian Resuscitation Council, we cover the process of managing foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO), focusing on the recommended techniques such as back blows and chest thrusts, while reviewing the risks associated with methods such as abdominal thrusts.

Whether you're a concerned parent, a caregiver, a sports coach, or a professional in a high-risk environment, this course is essential for anyone committed to safety and well-being in their community or workplace.
